Reading Double

2 minutes read

Today I felt like writing so here I am writing. About a week ago, I got a new book and I started reading it almost instantaneously; before finishing my previous book. I am crazy!

Book 1

Book 1 was The House of Silk by Anthony Horowitz. I was thoroughly enjoying reading this book and I am still invested in going to the end and can’t wait to get there.

I have paused reading this one to read Book 2.

Book 2

Book 2 is Lancaster: Forging a Very British Legend. The Lancaster bomber is my favourite aircraft of all time, and so I was very excited to see this book (which is a relatively new publish). I first saw the book at a cottage my family stayed at for holiday, in a bookcase for reading (but not taking :( ). I read the first 11 pages on our last day at the cottage when Book 1 was already packed and loaded in the car. I right at the end took note of the book and ordered it once we got home.

After a few weeks, it arrived and as soon as it arrived, I dropped my previous book and started reading the new one.

I have been enjoying it and am over 100 pages through it. I have learnt a lot about the Lancaster and the crews that flew them. It has accounts from surviving crew members and accounts from young people at the time who shared their memory of sights of the Lancaster.

I know many may not like the aircraft, but I do so I am really, really enjoying the book and reading it.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy.
